Watch This Now: Art vs. Science – “Higher”

“Get a little greedy like Augustus Gloop, vanilla choc-chip, want an extra scoop?”

So, you might not have noticed, but we’re pretty big Art vs. Science fans here at Y,WGAV! These guys continually and consistently keep coming up with the goods when it comes to their videos, and the latest instalment from their killer debut, The Experiment, is no exception. After seeing the boys rock the party with the Yo Gabba Gabba! dudes over the weekend – with a seal and a penguin helping everyone sing along to Flippers – I was surprised to see that they’ve also been hard at work on the fourth video to be lifted from The Experiment. It’s early days yet, but I reckon this one might be my favourite.

You know you’re in for a good time when the opening seconds of your music video are of three secret agents skydiving down onto unsuspecting security guards and knocking the bastards square out. It gets even better from there, as the three skydivers are revealed to be Dan, Jim and Dan themselves! This is the first time the trio have been a central part of their own music video, and it serves them well as they sneak into a black-tie dinner party that happens to be infested with undercover aliens. I won’t give the rest of it away, but it’s a ridiculous amount of fun and the kind of craziness that simply comes part and parcel with AvS videos. Get watching – and dancing.
