Old Favourites: Local H – “Bound for the Floor”

“Born to be down, what good is confidence?”

Here’s a nineties classic that you might not instantly remember, but certainly won’t be forgetting anytime soon once you’ve rediscovered it. This grungy two-some kicked out one of the finest angst anthems of the decade with this little ditty, and its dark and twisted video is reflective of both the song’s energy and its sinister nature. The band thrash it out, a kid goes on one of those spinny playground rides and some dark cinematography sets the mood. Choice, really – it’s all very 90s but still completely watchable. Just wish we had a better link to show the vid to you with – it all starts around 30 seconds in. So be cool, Yolanda.
